For two nights each fall, fireworks fanatics can come to Traverse City to see some of the best fireworks shows in the state. Teams from all over the world put on elaborate shows set to popular music.
New Orleans and its surrounding areas will be buzzing with activities, especially with Essence Fest kicking off the busy weekend. People will also have plenty of places to enjoy dazzling fireworks at several patriotic events all weekend. These Michigan fireworks displays are free to watch each Saturday from late May through mid-August. Watching races at a local speedway can be an exhilarating experience, but a speedway is also a great spot to watch fireworks. So, head northeast of Grand Rapids to watch some great racing and a booming show. Admission is required to watch the races, but the fireworks are part of the festivities.

When Salt Lake City switched from fireworks to drones in 2023 out of safety and environmental concerns, residents embraced the move, said Lynze Twede, the city’s manager of public lands events. Starting at 3 p.m., over 14 food trucks are expected to grace the park. There will also be food at Reetz Ball Diamonds Concession and LakeFly Cafe Concessions. Families can also rent fun activities from the Train and Water Rentals stand. Starting at 6 p.m., people can come to have fun at the Neighborhood Beer Garden.
The event syncs up with Light the Way, the largest free Christian music fest in north Mississippi. The city of Diamondhead will celebrate with live music and fireworks. Annual attendance at Houston’s July 4 celebration, the biggest land-based fireworks display in the country, averages 50,000 people. The entire family will enjoy CityCentre’s Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular. The switch was made partly in pursuit of an invigorating new experience but also as a hedge against the wildfires that have beset the region in recent years.
